Angelin was the chief surgeon of the expedition in charge of bringing back the Luxor obelisk which now adorns the Place de La Concorde in Paris. The plates depict the hieroglyphs on the obelisk, a technical plan depicting the devices used to carry the obelisk and a representation of the ship with its load. Language: French.
