Extremely rare complete set of 2 volumes. Druck und Verlag von Giesecke & Devrient, Leipzig, 1908. First edition. Large folio, xvi & 407 pages, 10 Beiblätter & 70 plates. Original white cloth with brown decoration. As new, with very light soiling on lower right corner of a few plates not affecting the pictures themselves. These 2 volumes form the Band I of the "Expedition Ernst von Sieglin, Ausgrabungen in Alexandria, unter Leitung von Theodor Schreiber". The plan, sculptures and statues of the Hauptgrab are among the most interesting examples of Greco-Egyptian art. These volumes are not only extremely rare, but probably unique in this condition.
