Rare. "As Illustrated by Tombs of the Middle Kingdom. Being a report of excavations made in the necropolis of Beni Hassan during 1902-3-4". Archibald Constable & Co Ltd, London, 1907. First edition. In-4, frontispiece, xv & 250 pages, 16 plates. Dark green cloth, with stamped gilt lettering and ornamentation on the front cover and spine. The exterior exhibits rubbing along the extremities and light scuffing on the covers. The binding is sound. The pages show mild to moderate age toning. A bookplate from the library of "Bruce Bryan" is adhered to the front pastedown, as is a small paper bookseller's label. Bryan's signature appears in ink on the front flyleaf. Language: English.
