Text volume: In-8, frontispiece, xix & 483 pages + appendix, 530 pages in total, 1 map. Full brown calf, rebacked, inside in excellent condition, with only slight foxing, mostly on the map. Bookplate of previous owner. Plates album: modern half-leather binding preserving the original boards and leather strips of the covers: First two blank endpapers have multiple vertical accordion wrinkles on each page, title page had tears and has been restored without loss of text (an additional title page in slightly better condition is provided from another copy), 1 text page containing the description of the plates, followed by 44 plates on 34 leaves (plates 4&5, 9&10, 11&12, 13-16, 27&41, 29&30, 28&31, 34&35 are on the same page), of which plates 19, 24, 27 and 40 are foldouts + 6 additional plates, on 6 leaves of which 1, 5 and 6 are foldouts. The plates are mildly wrinkled on edges, with occasional small tears on edges or slight foxing, the colors are vivid and bright, altogether the plates are in very good condition.
