Extremely rare. Verlag von Rudolph Gaertner, Berlin, 1850. First edition. In-4, 42 pages, 10 plates. Printed paper-covered boards. The spine is taped. The covers display light soiling and minor loss at the corners of the boards. The small gray paper label of the London firm "Williams and Norgate, Importers of Foreign Books" can be seen at the bottom of the front cover. The binding is sound. The pages exhibit scattered light foxing. This work contains a number of well-preserved fold-out plates. It should be noted one plate is numbered V/VI so that the actual plate count is nine.
