Very rare. British Museum, London, 1876. First edition. Oblong folio, 2 pages, 33 plates. Contemporary half-leather, a very good copy. The 33 photographs contained in this volume are produced by the Autotype Carbon Process, from a papyrus, No 9,900 of the collections of the British Museum, which was purchased at Mr. Burton's sale in 1836. This papyrus came from Memphis and was made for Nebseni, a sacred scribe, and is no later than the commencement of the eighteenth dynasty. (FHB) Language: English.
